Art for a cause: the auction
By Admin I : Once again and after the impressive “dream rooms” project, Toufoula makes good use of visual arts, whether fine arts or design and promotes local and international works for one main purpose: charity. Whether you can afford an art work or not, this collective auction is a true opportunity to satisfy your senses, simply because it features a very wide and “wise” selection of artworks and multidisciplinary artists.
Whether paintings, photography, sculpture or furniture design the selected artworks showcase different perceptions on different controversial artistic topics and media; from the abstract expressionism dominating the majority of the paintings to the “frescoic” nature of George Merheb’s painting in particular, the opinionated angry style of Sabhan Adam reaching the “Graphic” color representation by Ricardo Mbarkho and the typographic furniture piece by Kashida, all pieces reflect an interesting blend of art and statements, a must see if not a must have!
We’re happy to raise awareness around hard working NGOs like Toufoula, but what makes it more of a delight for us, is that Toufoula itself is aware of the importance of art and design as a communication tool that can influence and initiate change. It’s art for a good cause, true, but what represents this cause for us evolves around the visual awareness you’re working hard to create.
See you there on June 5th guys!
