“Nahla is in each one of you” launching campaign
“Nahla is in each one of you” launching campaign
By Admin I : We’re basically in front of a campaign that we decided to ditch earlier and classify within the range of the campaigns “we don’t do” simply because attacking such a cheap approach can be nonsense, almost like arguing over the new “Al jamal nader wa saab” billboards!
But after the big budget spent on those outdoors filling the streets and the buzz created on social media platforms, covering Nahla became a must.
When first seeing the teasers, we kinda hoped for something interesting to show up, especially that they used pop inspired female portraits, a bit “a la rana salam” and also bringing back last year’s brand protection group’s campaign into memories; but then visuals came random. some having pop women while others showcased cheap stock imagery and a modern almost cliche typeface choice with some flagrant words like “taybe – delicious”, “betsalleh – entertaining” etc..
the campaign only lacked the product reveal, and here we go: It’s a gum! big deal! whether a gum or a beer or a stick of butter, attributing vulgar street slangs used to describe women as cheap objects to an ad is not by any means acceptable! why are we linking women to gum, and why even using such a low class of copywriting that will stick a bad reputation to the already failing brand design!?
Sorry for exposing you to this latest advertising catastrophe, but it’s high time for people to be aware of their socio-cultural role and start questioning the limits brands and consumerism behaviors should never cross!
“Nahla is in each one of you” we hope that’s not very true! (yey, it rhymes!)

this is horrible. My jaws dropped the minute i saw the product revealing billboards.
Its like they are selling prostitutes: Bisalli, bas ma bitlaze2 (she will be entertaining, but we’re sure she wont be calling you the next day, or any other day)
COME ON!
I would love to yell at the person from NAHLA that said yes on such an ad
ya ahla bi nahlaaaa
focus adminR, focus! we’re in public here!!
Well, I have to disagree with you this time, I believe it is a simple message that was able to catch the viewers’ attention, and a language spoken by the Lebanese society, nahla’s campaign became a subject in my recent gatherings, so I guess they reached their purpose. As for linking women to gum, I am a woman myself and I didn’t feel offended, it is a decent approach that indeed shows that every woman is different . However, the brand name wasn’t appealing to me.
Thanks for the comment and we appreciate discussing such a subject at a mature level.. it’s totally subjective, but i don’t personally think that this type of language is spoken by all Lebanese, because to me, it sounds very cheap.. and i don’t see how you considered it a decent approach.. it’s not working by any means, yet it created the buzz as you said
please keep reading
Nahla is disappointing
شو ما كنت صفاتها
Good one!!
A feminist’s junk food.
Guys .. u r really awesome and PROFESSIONAL
“Hisham ahmad” glad that u said what i was exactly going to say, … i also like the ” Taybe shu ma kenit lebse !!! ”
nshalla ma ya3mlo nahla – bon bon , a7san ma yseer el slogan : masmesa 3a mahlak.
You are awesome you guys!! Great to read those comments
its HishamAD
and glad you have the same thought
and i agree, i hope they dont start Nahla BonBons
hehe guys don’t call for it !!!
I don’t know where to start.. Nahla took my energy lately.
I was so enraged when I saw the gum getting sold in pharmacies 6months ago.. called NAHLA and laughed about it with my friends.
eno if u wana call ur gum Nahla then with all due respect..market it with Gandour and chiclets for 250LL … make it with sugar and not sugarfree and sell it silently
but if you wana go for competing Dirol and Trident and Dentyne and etc you simplyy can NOT be a NAHLA.
So the teasing campaigns comes after I’ve really seen the gum in stores (bad timing maybe?) and especially people in the pharmaceutical field and all pharmacies have been exposed to the gum !!! so the teasing campaign was simply wrong.
and the rest for how tacky the campaign is .. is well-covered by you guys
keep up the great work!
Nahla took all our energy lately.. true indeed!
