A tribute to the iconic Barbie by the Lebanese designer Julien Abboud

A tribute to the iconic Barbie by the Lebanese designer Julien Abboud

By Admin I : When we featured Julien Abboud in a fashion post a while ago, we  clearly stated our fascination and respect to this talented designer’s sense of authentic experimentation and the great cultural fusion that characterizes every dress of his creation, becoming a young master of a line that scares most of local designers usually finding their character more present in minimalism and subtlety.

Julien proves once again that glamour doesn’t have to be tacky, and sometimes going against the rules can be an exquisite manifestation of creative energy, sometimes “less is more” doesn’t apply, and that it is certainly “more is more” if signed by the immaculate talent.

taking very well thought of steps, Julien launches a new collection; this time it’s all about Barbie in a special tribute to the iconic doll that reigned centuries of success and innovation in fashion and trends. Julien beautifully designed a collection of five unique dresses to be worn by the original Mattel doll captured by the lens of Alain Mitri reaching a climaxing end to his innovative concept of matching the iconic doll to iconic Lebanese figures that started with his creation of the Haifa Barbie, followed by another doll for the remarkable Mona abou Hamza.

A travers les décennies Barbie s’est imposée comme une Icone de la mode, elle a suivi les tendances et les couturiers l’ont convoitée . Julien Abboud vous propose cinq robes uniques dessinées pour une poupée légendaire.
Each Dress is absolutely unique and was designed as tribute to Barbie created by Mattel and is not a commercialized product.

Good luck to Julien, and once again we remain proud of such talents that keep surprising us with creative concepts and ideas, and who knows, Julien might be added to the list of famous Barbie fashion designers including the inspirational “Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Fuerstenburg” and many others..
